A
busy roofing company in Newcastle has just won a new company vehicle
fleet by not cutting corners.
Sunbow Roofing recently won three Toyota HiLux 4x2 Workmate vehicles,
worth approximately $22,000 each, in the ZINCALUME® steel 'Don't
Cut Corners Competition'.
Sunbow Roofing directors Mark Humphries and John Harvey said they
were particularly pleased to win the vehicles because the existing
company vehicles were on their last legs.
" This is great timing since we were just about to replace some
of our vehicles, as we have a few that have been with us for nearly
nine years, " John Harvey said.
Mr Harvey said Sunbow Roofing ordered nearly 1000 square metres of
wall cladding and roofing made from ZINCALUME® steel for an industrial
project in Hamilton, NSW which qualified the company to enter the
competition.
The promotion was designed to reinforce public awareness that ZINCLAUME
steel is backed by a warranty of up to 25 years and is proven to withstand
the harshest Australian conditions.
Registered builders, roofers, plumbers or building industry people
who bought more than 500 square metres of ZINCALUME® steel were
eligible to enter.
Sunbow Roofing, which specialises in commercial, industrial and domestic
building projects, will celebrate 10 years in business this November.
" I was working for BHP Steel when ZINCALUME® steel was first
launched in 1976 and we now use COLORBOND® steel and ZINCALUME®
steel in many of our jobs, " Mr Harvey said.
Roof sheeting made from ZINCALUME® steel is available in a range
of profiles. The zinc/aluminium alloy coating on ZINCALUME® steel
imparts corrosion resistance of up to four times the life of galvanised
steel.
