A South Australian builder is closing the gap between project homes and architecturally designed homes by innovatively using steel to create contemporary designs at affordable prices.

Weeks Peacock Quality Homes Marketing Manager Rick Pisaniello said the versatility of ZINCALUME® steel and COLORBOND® steel gives the company the freedom to create original designs for all homebuyers.

The Santa Fe - one of Weeks Peacock ' s latest designs - utilises framing made from ZINCALUME® steel to create an open plan home, with 14 feet high ceilings and a distinctive curved roof.

" All our homes ' are constructed with SBS Steel Building Systems who use ZINCALUME® steel from BHP Steel to meet the client ' s exact requirements, " Mr Pisaniello explained.

" The design flexibility of ZINCALUME® steel framing allows us to offer homebuyers variations on our standard designs including vaulted, coffered or raked ceilings. "

ZINCALUME® steel also offers a durable, lightweight framing solution that is termite resistant, does not burn and will not warp.

The increasing awareness of the benefits of ZINCALUME® steel among homebuyers has helped Weeks Peacock Quality Homes to increase its share of a growing market.

The company ' s Santa Fe design at the Mawson Lakes display village also features roofing made from COLORBOND® steel in the colour Surfmist.

" We believe that using COLORBOND® steel for roofing, gutters and fascias provides a stylish and good-looking finish to each home, " Mr Pisaniello said.

The recent introduction of six new colours by BHP Steel to the range of COLORBOND® steel, together with Super Polyester, an advanced pre-painted coating technology, has given COLORBOND® steel a total spread of the latest colours which will stay looking newer longer.

The six additions complete a palette of 20 colours, all with newly trademarked names evoking the Australian land and cityscape.

The palette covers a complete tonal range of grey, green, blue, red and cream selected to suit all types of buildings.

Weeks Peacock Quality Homes builds homes in most areas of South Australia.
