Renowned
Queensland home builder Nifsan is transforming the former Surfers
Paradise International Raceway into a master-planned community on
the outskirts of the Gold Coast.
Homeowners have begun moving into the 160 homes that make up stage
two of the architecturally-designed Emerald Lakes development named
The Vistas.
The seven stage project will comprise 1400 homes set around man-made
waterways. The fully-planned community will also include a commercial
precinct, sporting complex and a tavern.
The Vistas, surrounded by the Emerald Lakes Golf Course, features
an array of contemporary designs ranging from courtyard homes -
which have four homes in one block, each with their own courtyard
- to duplexes and free standing homes.
Each of the homes in The Vistas and the soon-to-be-built third
stage, The Quays, feature roofs made from COLORBOND® steel.
"We gained the inspiration for designing steeply pitched roofs
from Perth's SubiCentro," said Nifsan's Frank Joris.
"For aesthetic purposes each roof is pitched at 35 degrees,
with vibrant COLORBOND® steel colours completing the eye-catching
look."
Developed by BHP Steel, COLORBOND® steel provides a visually striking,
long-lasting cladding material.
The recent introduction of six new colours, together with an advanced
super polyester pre-painted coating technology, has given COLORBOND®
steel a complete palette of contemporary colours which will stay
looking newer for longer.
Several homes within The Vistas also use roofing made from COLORBOND®
Metallic steel - a premium steel product that draws on the surrounding
environment to create a subtle, yet dynamic metallic look.
Each home is designed to take advantage of the development's panoramic
views and lush landscaping, with broad balconies and large expanses
of glass creating an open air feel
